Highland Park has released their latest limited edition bottling, The Light 17 Year Old. Matured in refill American oak casks and bottled at 52.99% ABV, this release is limited to 28,000 bottles and is the second of two whiskies created to celebrate the contrasting island seasons on Orkney.

It appears as though The Macallan will be turning Classic Cut into an annual release. Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed The Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Limited Edition, matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks, bottled at 51.2% ABV, and described as having notes of “citrus, sweet vanilla and spice.”

Ardbeg Twenty Something 22 Year Old Leaked Through TTB Submission
A recent TTB submission has revealed plans for a new Ardbeg Twenty Something release. The first bottling was a 23 year old released in 2017. The second release will be a 22 year old matured in ex-bourbon casks, distilled in Spring 1996 and bottled non-chill filtered on July 1st, 2018 at 46.4% ABV.
Benromach 20th Anniversary 1998 Vintage Released
Benromach has released a new, limited edition bottling in celebration of their 20th anniversary since resuming distilling. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2018, Benromach 20th Anniversary has been matured entirely in first fill oak casks, yielding only 3,000 bottles at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV.
Kilchoman Releases Port Cask Matured and Loch Gorm 2018 Editions
Kilchoman has released their first limited edition bottles of the year – 2018 editions of Port Cask Matured and Loch Gorm. This is only the second Port Cask Matured release from Kilchoman, with the first released in 2014.
