A recent TTB submission has revealed plans for a new Ardbeg Twenty Something release. The first bottling was a 23 year old released in 2017. The second release will be a 22 year old matured in ex-bourbon casks, distilled in Spring 1996 and bottled non-chill filtered on July 1st, 2018 at 46.4% ABV.
Ardbeg has officially unveiled the first new whisky to be added to their core range in almost a decade: Ardbeg An Oa (pronounced “An Oh”). Ardbeg An Oa is a vatting of Ardbeg single malts that have spent time in Pedro Ximénez, virgin oak, ex-bourbon, and other unspecified casks.
