Speyburn has launched two new single malts in the US: Speyburn Bourbon Cask and Speyburn Rum Cask Finish. The new releases join Speyburn 10 Year Old to form the brand’s new core collection.

Speyburn Bourbon Cask has been matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 40% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “green apples, honey, lemon, and vanilla.” The palate is “subtle, with honey and vanilla, lots of delicate spices, brown sugar, and sweet cream with a long, smooth finish.”

Speyburn Rum Cask Finish was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in rum casks and bottled at 40% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “tropical fruits, green apples, citrus, and caramelized banana.” The palate exhibits notes of “buttery pastry and peach leading to tropical fruits, soft caramel, delicate cinnamon, and fresh vanilla.”

Speyburn’s core collection is presented in new packaging featuring a bolder color palette and more prominent branding. The distillery’s pagoda-shaped roof is also prevalent on the new packaging alongside the year Speyburn was founded, 1897, as a nod to the legacy of the distillery.

Speyburn Bourbon Cask and Rum Cask Finish will be available in the US beginning this fall for a suggested retail price of $24.99 and $29.99, respectively.
