The Glenrothes has unveiled a new bottle design and complete rebranding for The Glenrothes 18.

The Glenrothes 18 is now presented in a purple cylinder with etched silver contours that pay homage to the water that carves through the grounds at the Glenrothes Estate in Speyside. The new bottle has been modified to feature a lengthened neck producing a smoother pour, and a transparent label allows the whisky to shine through the bottle.

Despite the rebranding, the liquid inside the bottle will remain the same – The Glenrothes 18 continues to be produced using a high proportion of first fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks.

Official tasting notes for The Glenrothes 18 follow:

Nose: Ripe pear and sweet vanilla pods, tempered by aromatic orange oil. Invigorating almond notes and a well-rounded fragrance add complexity whilst a hint of dried ginger spice creates unassuming depth.

Palate: A rich and deep flavour, alive with sweet ginger, pear and rose water. Aromatic fruit and light oak create gentle spice, which balances nicely against an undercurrent of creamy vanilla.

Finish: Finish: Sweet, spicy and peppery.

The Glenrothes 18 is bottled at 43% ABV and carries a suggested retail price of $200.
