Highland Park has announced the launch of Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 5, the latest release in a series created to “capture the essential DNA of Highland Park” by bottling their spirit with no added water, no chill filtration, and no added color.

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 5 has been matured predominantly in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks – including Pedro Ximénez casks – plus refill casks, ex-bourbon casks, and a small quantity of first-fill, sherry-seasoned American oak casks.

Bottled at 64.7% ABV, Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 5 is described as having aromas of “dried cloves, fresh oregano, crushed pine needles, and lingering wood smoke.” The palate exhibits flavors of “sun-dried fruits – prunes, dates and sultanas – with hints of liquorice and winter spices balanced by cocoa nibs and light oak.” It concludes with a “fragrant and smoky finish that lingers on notes of sherried fruits and sweet spices.”

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 5 is available globally beginning today for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
