Bruichladdich Redesigns The Classic Laddie Bottle

Bruichladdich Distillery has unveiled a redesigned bottle for its flagship Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Classic Laddie.
The new bottle has been conceptualized by Glasgow based design agency, Thirst, and is designed with sustainability in mind. The proprietary bottle contains an average of 60% recycled glass and is 32% lighter compared to the previous bottle, reducing the brands environmental impact. Bruichladdich’s signature aqua color remains, but the new bottle uses an organic ink coating and the closure and cork are made from polypropylene, a synthetic resin made from bio-based sources.
Bruichladdich is also stopping production of the secondary tin for The Classic Laddie. The creation of the tin for The Classic Laddie emitted over 1kg of CO2 in its creation alone. By eliminating the tin and adopting the new bottle, The Classic Laddie redesign will reduce the single malt’s packaging CO2 emissions by 65%.
The Classic Laddie redesigned bottle is now available to buy online at bruichladdich.com and in stores across the UK at a recommended retail price of £45.
