The Macallan Unveils Edition No. 6
The Macallan has unveiled the sixth and final entry in the Edition series, which has been released annually since 2015. The Macallan Edition No. 6 takes its inspiration from the landscapes around The Macallan distillery and warehouses, in particular the River Spey that borders the estate, which is also a home to the Atlantic salmon. This inspiration is reflected in the turquoise blue packaging of The Macallan Edition No. 6.
Vatted from American and European oak casks and bottled of natural color at 48.6% ABV, The Macallan Edition No. 6 is described as having aromas of “rich fresh fruits, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, and oak”, with notes of “plum and sweet orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, balanced oak, toffee and oat” on the palate, finishing with “long fresh fruit with spices turning to creamy chocolate and toasted oats.”
The Macallan Edition No. 6 is a limited release and will be available in the US and select global markets beginning this month.
