Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish Revealed

Laphroaig 10 Year Sherry Oak Finish - Front Label

Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish, a new expression matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks, bottled at 48% ABV (96 Proof).

Per the back label, the finish in Oloroso Sherry casks is described as contributing to notes of “Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside the classic smoke, seaweed and hint of salt that Laphroaig is known and loved for.”

The labels make no mention of Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish being a limited or special edition, so it’s possible it could be a permanent addition to Laphroaig’s core range of single malt whiskies. Expect an official announcement with suggested pricing, release date, and more information prior to launch.
