The Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Limited Edition Leaked
It appears as though The Macallan will be turning Classic Cut into an annual release. Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed The Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Limited Edition, matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks, bottled at 51.2% ABV, and described as having notes of “citrus, sweet vanilla and spice.”
The first vintage was bottled at 58.4% ABV and launched in the Fall of 2017. It’s interesting to note that the new release will have a significantly lower ABV, and like the 2017 Limited Edition, the labels for the new release don’t explicitly state that the whisky is bottled at cask strength, which means that water has likely been added.
Expect The Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Limited Edition to hit stores this Fall.
