WhistlePig Whiskey Introduces Two Limited Releases For America’s 250th Anniversary
WhistlePig Whiskey has announced two new limited releases in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary: WhistlePig Rye, White & Blue PiggyBank Rye and WhistlePig Declaration Wheat Whiskey.
WhistlePig Rye, White & Blue PiggyBank Rye (MSRP: $249.99, 1 Liter) is a 10 year old Rye whiskey bottled in a patriotic porcine decanter. Inside the decanter, you’ll find WhistlePig’s flagship 10 Year Old Small Batch Rye, presented with an extra 10 proof – bottled at 110 proof instead of 100 proof.
WhistlePig Rye, White & Blue PiggyBank Rye is described as having aromas of “toasted cinnamon, baked vanilla, and slight cedar.” The palate exhibits “bright black pepper giving way to notes of nutmeg, subtle hint of lemon zest, and leather.” It concludes with a “medium length finish, leaving a light tannin note that gently fades from the palate.”
WhistlePig Declaration Wheat Whiskey (MSRP: $73.99, 750 mL) is crafted from a 93% wheat mashbill and double aged in American oak barrels. It’s bottled at 86 proof and adorned with a cracked Liberty Bell topper – a symbol of America’s independence and liberty – to celebrate this year’s monumental Fourth of July holiday.
WhistlePig Declaration Wheat Whiskey is described as having aromas of “vanilla, orange crème, and toasted honey wheat bread.” The palate exhibits flavors of “sweet cinnamon bread, candied citrus, and caramelized sugar.” It concludes with a “medium length finish with soft notes of charred oak.”
