Loch Lomond Launches The Original Series

Loch Lomond Whiskies has announced the launch of The Original Series, a trio of single malt whiskies focusing on innovation in flavor through expert distillation and maturation.
The Original Series combines one existing single malt from Loch Lomond’s portfolio – Loch Lomond The Original: Triple Oak – with the addition of two new expressions, Loch Lomond Oloroso: Sherry Cask and Loch Lomond Peated: Rioja Cask.
Loch Lomond The Original: Triple Oak is the same expression as Loch Lomond Original, now with a new name and new packaging. This expression has been matured in three types of American oak cask – first fill, refill, and re-char – and showcases distillate from both the distillery’s straight neck and traditional swan neck stills. It’s bottled at 40% ABV and has an RRP of £28 per 70 cL bottle.
Loch Lomond The Original: Triple Oak is described as having a nose that is “malty with golden biscuit and a light fruitiness.” The palate “opens with sweet honey followed by smooth soft fruits of peach and pear, a delicate orange citrus note, and creamy vanilla.” It concludes with a “medium finish with a hint of soft smoke.”
Loch Lomond Oloroso: Sherry Cask is distilled in Loch Lomond’s straight neck stills and finished for six months in certified Oloroso sherry casks. It’s bottled at 40% ABV and has an RRP of £31 per 70 cL bottle.
Loch Lomond Oloroso: Sherry Cask is described as having aromas of “honey, vanilla and raisins.” The palate exhibits “toffee sweetness alongside peach, orange, and brown sugar.” The finish is “medium in length, smooth and rounded, with gentle spice and dried fruits carrying through.”
Loch Lomond Peated: Rioja Cask is distilled in Loch Lomond’s swan neck and straight neck stills and finished for six months in Rioja wine casks. It’s bottled at 40% ABV and has an RRP of £31 per 70 cL bottle.
Loch Lomond Peated: Rioja Cask is described as having aromas of “woodsmoke, malty biscuit, and redcurrant fruit.” The palate exhibits “sweet honey and soft fruits of peach and pear combined with dark chocolate and a touch of orange citrus.” The finish is “medium in length, with lingering smoke and a gentle richness.”
The Loch Lomond Original Series is now available to buy on lochlomondwhiskies.com and will be rolling out to retailers throughout 2026.
