High West Announces 2026 Release of The Prisoner’s Share

High West has announced the 2026 release of The Prisoner’s Share, a blend of straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys finished in The Prisoner Red Blend wine barrels.
The 2026 release of The Prisoner’s Share is crafted from four bourbon mash bills and two rye mash bills aged for 4-12 years and bottled at 51% ABV without chill filtration.
A breakdown of the The Prisoner’s Share mash bill follows:
- 75% Corn, 21% Rye, and 4% Barley Malt from MGP
- 60% Corn and 40% Rye from BBC
- 78% Corn, 10% Rye, and 12% Malted Barley from High West Distillery
- 80% Corn and 20% Malted Barley from High West Distillery
- 95% Rye and 5% Barley Malt from MGP
- 80% Rye and 20% Malted Rye from High West Distillery
The 2026 release of High West The Prisoner’s Share is described as having aromas of “ripe raspberries, black cherry cobbler, red wine-poached pears, tiramisu, dark chocolate, chai spices, violets, toasted cinnamon bark, and Italian leather notebook.” The palate exhibits notes of “Medjool dates, dried cranberries, smoked apples with vanilla custard, fig jam thumbprint cookies, cappuccino, clove, crystallized ginger, seasoned red cedar, and sipping chocolate melting over a wood fire.” It finishes with “boysenberry preserves and star anise.”
High West The Prisoner’s Share is now available in limited quantities for a suggested retail price of $174.99.
