Auchentoshan Unveils New Look and 12 Year Old Double Cask Expression

Auchentoshan has unveiled a new look for its whisky alongside a new expression, Auchentoshan 12 Year Old Double Cask.
Auchentoshan’s refreshed, modern packaging features a layered logo and a three-stills icon in a shimmering copper foil finish – a nod to the triple distillation that defines Auchentoshan’s spirit. Additional touches include a pronunciation guide and detailed cask information to help demystify single malt for those new to the spirit.

In line with Auchentoshan’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the new packaging is crafted using sustainable materials. Packaging improvements have led to a 16.9% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per bottle by significantly reducing the glass weight. Additionally, the label uses single-material, recycled content, FSC certified paper with recyclable-friendly print effects.
Auchentoshan’s new expression, 12 Year Old Double Cask, is crafted to replace the existing 12 Year Old. Double matured in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 40% ABV, it’s described as offering “a rich and refined flavor profile of sweet pastry and lemon zest, mixed with robust oakwood and hints of tangerine and lime, ending on a sharp ginger finish.”
The new packaging and Auchentoshan 12 Year Old Double Cask will be rolled out globally beginning this month through 2026. Auchentoshan 12 Year Old Double Cask carries a recommended retail price of £38.
