Bruichladdich has launched Octomore Series 15 Ten Aged Years, which joins Octomore 15.1, Octomore 15.2, and Octomore 15.3 as the fourth and final entry in the Octomore 15 series.

Distilled in 2013 from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley malted to 107 PPM, Octomore Series 15 Ten Aged Years was matured entirely on Islay for 10 years. To create this release, a base of Octomore aged in first fill bourbon (50%) was layered with spirit aged in Pineau des Charentes casks (15%), second fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts (25%), and first fill red wine casks (10%). In 2024, all casks were blended and left to marry for the final six months of aging before being bottled un-chill filtered and coloring free at 52.2% ABV.

Official tasting notes for Octomore Series 15 Ten Aged Years follow:

Dried fruit, butterscotch and caramel are immediate on the nose, followed by creamy vanilla, buttered popcorn, and a hint of orange blossom. On the palate, sweet smoked fruit is unmistakable, with this heady influence from the sherry butts swiftly punctuated with a vibrant medley of mango, apricot and candied citrus. Wood spices, roasted coffee beans and charred oak are drawn out on the finish, while earthy peat smoke and burnt Islay heather linger.

Octomore Series 15 Ten Aged Years is available exclusively via the Bruichladdich website and the Laddie Shop on Islay at a price of £175.00 for a 700 mL bottle.
