Basil Hayden Re-Releases Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke
Basil Hayden has announced a limited re-release of Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke, a bourbon created to provide a more subtle and approachable take on smoky spirits. Subtle Smoke was originally released in 2022 and intended to be a one-time limited release, but after its success, Basil Hayden decided to bring it back.
To create Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke, straight Bourbon whiskey is finished for six months in a barrel that has been toasted and lightly charred and pumped with smoke from hickory chips.
Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke is bottled at 40% ABV and described as having aromas of “mellow smoke with a hint of vanilla,” followed by notes of “soft char with light sweetness reminiscent of caramel and apple” on the palate, finishing with “a crisp, yet delicate smokiness with light toasted hickory wood.”
Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke is now available at retailers across the United States at a suggested retail price of $49.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
