Benriach has announced the launch of Malting Season Third Edition, the latest release in an annual series produced entirely using barley malted from the Benriach distillery’s floor maltings.

The Third Edition of Benriach Malting Season has been distilled from concerto barley and matured in virgin oak and first-fill bourbon casks, and bottled of natural color at 48.3% ABV.

Benriach Malting Season Third Edition is described as having aromas of “freshly harvested barley, orchard fruit, wild bergamot, pear, and meadowsweet honey layered on gently kilned malt.” The palate exhibits “a burst of clementine, floral honey, and gentle barley spice,” finishing with “apricot, malted almond, and traces of wild cherry.”

Benriach Malting Season Third Edition carries a suggested retail price of £110 and will be available in select global markets beginning this month.
