Glenglassaugh Unveils New Core Range

Glenglassaugh has unveiled its new core range of Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, featuring three new expressions (12 Year Old, Sandend, and Portsoy) and new packaging.
Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old is the distillery’s new flagship single malt and embodies the brand’s signature coastal style. Matured in bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks and bottled at 45% ABV, Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old is described as having aromas of “ripe apricot, fig, toasted vanilla, and tropical flora, carried on a warm ocean breeze,” and tasting notes of “candied pistachio, date, sweet fig, morello cherry, and whipped cream, infused with fresh coastal air.” UK RRP: £50.
Glenglassaugh Sandend is inspired by the crescent beach of Sandend Bay. Matured in bourbon, sherry, and manzanilla casks and bottled at 50.5% ABV, Glenglassaugh Sandend is described as having aromas of “soft buttery vanilla ice-cream drenched in tropical fruit, with chocolate and a touch of sea salt,” and tasting notes of “salted-caramel with an effervescent burst of pineapple, cherry, and grapefruit, enlivened by the ocean shore.” UK RRP: £55.
Glenglassaugh Portsoy takes its name from the neighboring harbor village and reflects the bold and maritime flavor of peated single malt. Matured in sherry, bourbon, and port casks and bottled at 49.1% ABV, Glenglassaugh Portsoy is described as having aromas of “maritime waves infused with tropical fruit, sherried dark soy, liquorice, and sea kelp,” and tasting notes of “dark chocolate, fermented soy, and charred mango with treacle and a crack of sea salt.” UK RRP: £60
