GlenAllachie Announces Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2023 Exclusive Single Cask
The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced a distillery exclusive bottling for this year’s Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, which will run from April 26th to May 1st, 2023.
This years Spirit of Speyside exclusive is The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Cask #11908. It was distilled on December 13, 2005 and aged for 17 years in a Ruby Port Pipe before being bottled non-chill filtered and of natural color at a cask strength of 55.9% ABV in February 2023, yielding 643 bottles.
The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Cask #11908 is described as having aromas of “ginger, pink grapefruit, and heather honey, with hints of truffle oil, pecan, and strawberry jam.” The palate exhibits notes of “opal fruits, dried mango, butterscotch, toffee apples, hazelnuts, and ginger,” concluding with “cinnamon and raisin” on the finish.
