Green River Distilling Co. has unveiled Distillery Select, a new series of limited releases that will showcase some of the best whiskey coming out of the distillery through different proofs, finishes, or specific rickhouse selections.

The inaugural Distillery Select release, Toasted Double Oak, is an eight year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished for six months in new American toasted oak, and represents the oldest Green River bourbon released to date.

Toasted Double Oak is crafted from Green River’s classic bourbon mashbill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. After aging for eight years in the distillery’s clay tile rickhouses, 13 barrels were hand selected from Warehouse B, where temperatures regularly climb well over 100 degrees, and transferred to light char, medium toast new American oak barrels from Independent Stave Company for an additional six months.

Bottled at 115.1 proof (57.55% ABV), Toasted Double Oak Bourbon is described as delivering “a richer, more concentrated expression of Green River’s core profile,” with notes of “strong fruit flavors, wood sugars, and spice.”

Green River Distillery Select Toasted Double Oak Bourbon will be available exclusively at the brand’s Owensboro distillery on Saturday, June 20 and at the brand’s tasting room in Louisville on Friday, June 26 for $49.99 (375 mL bottle).
