Glasgow Brothers Unveil Turntable Blending House, a New Brand of Blended Whisky

Turntable Blending House Track 01, Track 02, & Track 03

Brothers Gordon and Ally Stevenson have announced the launch of Turntable Blending House, their new brand of blended whisky.

Frustrated at the global perception of blended whisky as volume brands and the widespread opinion that single malt is where the quality lies, the brothers used their 20+ years’ combined industry experience to found Turntable. With a goal to create blends notable for their complexity, innovation and transparency, Turntable combines the best of both worlds – the attention to detail, transparency, and provenance of single malts, and the scope of creativity and flavor development within blends.

Turntable is launching with a trio of 2023 Limited Edition bottlings – Track 01, Track 02, and Track 03 – before the core range debuts later this year.

Track 01: Joy.Discovery.Invention

Notes: Vanilla, toffee, summer fruits, and pineapple.

This high-energy, sun-kissed drop is a bursting bouquet of tropical fruits. Suits long summer days or, when needed, conjures them instead.

  • 17% Knockdhu Chinkapin Barrel
  • 40% Linkwood Virgin Oak Barrel
  • 24% Girvan Ex Red Wine Barrel
  • 19% Strathclyde Ex Cognac Barrel

Track 02: Firestarter

Notes: Campfire smoke, toffee apple, and pear.

This fresh-air dram is a late night by the sea, melting marshmallows over a bonfire until sweet, toasted and gooey.

Blend breakdown:

  • 40% Caol Ila Oak Barrel
  • 23% Cameronbridge Virgin Oak Barrel
  • 22% Benrinnes Chinkapin Barrel
  • 15% Invergordon Virgin Oak Barrel

Track 03: Purple Haze

Notes: Dark chocolate, berries, toffee, and cinnamon.

This full-bodied dram is irresistible bright berries with a dark chocolate smile ‑ it lingers like toffee and its cinnamon-ness makes it all things dessert.

  • 42% Craigellachie Oloroso Sherry Butt
  • 44% Balmenach Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon
  • 14% Invergordon Ex Sherry Barrel
