Ardbeg Anamorphic Revealed

Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed Ardbeg Anamorphic, a limited edition peated single malt that explores what happens when cask heads are removed to expose more wood during toasting.
The back label provides the full story: “Removing the cask heads to expose more wood during toasting, we’ve turned Ardbeg whisky upside down and inside out… Tempering the briny overtones, ramping up hidden chocolatey sweetness and magnifying sensations of mocha. The result? A multidimensional dram that morphs between four key elements – sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy – all seamlessly merging in a mesmerising taste experience.”
Ardbeg Anamorphic will be bottled at 48.2% ABV and is expected to land in stores in 2023. Expect an official announcement with more information prior to launch.
