Benriach Launches Malting Season Second Edition
Benriach has announced the launch of Malting Season Second Edition, the latest release in an annual series produced entirely using barley malted from the Benriach distillery’s floor maltings.
The Second Edition of Benriach Malting Season is crafted from 30 first fill bourbon barrels made from concerto barley, all distilled on November 20th, 2013 and bottled in 2022 at 48.9% ABV.
Benriach Malting Season Second Edition is described as exhibiting “a rich aroma of malt sweetness with barley sugar and mandarin enrobed in creamy white chocolate with smooth flavours of honeycomb infused with citrus, orchard apple and an enveloping fruit, malt and vanilla cream finish.”
Benriach Malting Season Second Edition carries a suggested retail price of £99 and will begin rolling out to global retail in June 2022 and the US in Summer 2022.
