GlenAllachie Announces Autumn 2021 Release of UK Exclusive Single Cask Expressions
The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced its Autumn 2021 release of GlenAllachie Single Cask expressions bottled exclusively for the UK market.
The Autumn 2021 single cask bottlings consist of six single malts selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker. All expressions are hand-numbered and bottled non-chill filtered, of natural color, and at cask strength.
The GlenAllachie 32 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Puncheon – Cask #6495
Bottled at 55.8% ABV and described as having aromas of “mocha, treacle, heather honey, sultanas, and eucalyptus,” with notes of “dark chocolate, dried fruits and figs, nutmeg, pineapple, and orange zest” on the palate. RRSP £625.
The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Rioja Barrique – Cask #4465
Bottled at 60.5% ABV and described as having aromas of “stewed plums, raspberries, coconut, treacle, and nutmeg,” with notes of “heather honey, treacle, ginger, red berries, apricots, and almonds” on the palate. RRSP £115.
The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Tawny Port Pipe – Cask #868
Bottled at 60.7% ABV and described as having aromas of “heather honey, dark chocolate, musky berries, sweet spice, treacle, and grape must,” with notes of “blackberries, heather honey, cinnamon, mocha, dried fruits, and vanilla pods” on the palate. RRSP £115.
The GlenAllachie 14 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Hogshead – Cask #6611
Bottled at 60.3% ABV and described as having aromas of “mocha, treacle, heather honey, coconut, pineapple, and ginger,” with notes of “dark chocolate, treacle, mocha, figs and stewed plums, and hints of cinnamon and orange zest” on the palate. RRSP £110.
The GlenAllachie 13 Year Old Chinquapin Virgin Oak Barrel – Cask #6896
Bottled at 58.3% ABV and described as having aromas of “heather honey, butterscotch, orange peel, figs, ginger, and nutmeg,” with notes of “soft spices, heather honey, orchard fruits, cinnamon, ginger, and pineapple” on the palate. RRSP £105.
The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old Marsala Barrel – Cask #5856
Bottled at 58% ABV and described as having aromas of “butterscotch, heather honey, treacle, tropical fruits, and sultanas,” with notes of “caramel, syrup, grapefruit, heather honey, mocha, and demerara sugar” on the palate. RRSP £99.
