Weller Single Barrel Launches June 2020

Buffalo Trace Distillery has unveiled Weller Single Barrel, a new addition to their highly sought-after Weller line of wheated bourbons.
Tasting notes will vary from bottle to bottle due to the nature of single barrel products, but some of the defining characteristics of Weller Single Barrel include aromas of “cherry, mint, and vanilla”, with “caramel, baking spices, and hints of cocoa” on the palate, and a finish exhibiting notes of “cinnamon, coffee, and a hint of pepper.”
Weller Single Barrel is bottled at 97 proof (48.5% ABV) and will be released once per year in limited quantities. The first release will be available starting June 2020 at a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Sure would be nice as to when it will be shipped to the retail stores?
Also not one retailer has this and have not had any of the new Weller small batch allocated to them. It’s sad to see Weller go this route but we will most likely see this small batch only on the web sites charging $200 to $300 per bottle. These web sites seem to have plenty of all kinds of Weller, although I have not seen any small batch. I was in Union Liquor the other da and he wanted $699 for a bottle of Weller 12 and had plenty of it. $199 for E.H. Taylor Small Batch and had three cases on the floor. How can he have so much of these and we cannot find any?
