Ardbeg Wee Beastie Launches April 2020
The Ardbeg Distillery has announced Ardbeg Wee Beastie, the latest permanent expression to join the Ardbeg core range.
Matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks for five years, Ardbeg Wee Beastie is described as having “Very bright, fresh and herbal” aromas with “with hints of vanilla, pear, freshly cracked black pepper, honey-glazed ham, rich Turkish coffee, and sappy pine resin.” Adding water brings out “more herbal top notes like vetiver and fennel, along with aniseed, green apple and leather.” On the palate, expect “A rich, explosive mouthfeel with lots of chocolate, tar, creosote and smoked bacon, followed by a burst of antiseptic lozenges, eucalyptus and more aniseed.” It ends with “A long, salty and mouthcoating finish with hints of cocoa, fudge and savory meats.”
Ardbeg Wee Beastie is bottled NCF (Non Chill-Filtered) at 47.4% ABV and will be available in stores beginning April 2020 at a suggested retail price of $43.99.

Is there any way of knowing at this stage what the wider rollout & timing might be?
This say April (so a 30-day window), but I’ve also read it’ll be May for the UK.
Really keen to know when it might be available here in Australia
My understanding is that Wee Beastie was originally supposed to launch this month, but the COVID-19 crisis forced the launch to be moved to April. Due to the constantly evolving crisis at hand, there’s no way of telling when exactly it’s going to land in any markets.
