The Glenlivet Code, Successor to The Glenlivet Cipher, Leaked Through TTB Submission

The Glenlivet Code - Front Label

In 2016, The Glenlivet released a whisky called The Glenlivet Cipher. Packaged in an opaque black bottle with no tasting notes or cask details, The Glenlivet Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, challenged enthusiasts to decipher it’s composition. Official tasting notes and cask details were later revealed through The Glenlivet website.

Unfortunately for fans of The Glenlivet, Cipher never made it to the United States. However, the distillery appears to be planning a successor (and stateside release) to Cipher, as a label submission for The Glenlivet Code was recently discovered on the TTB website. Like it’s predecessor, it will be bottled at 48% ABV and presumably non-chill filtered.

Expect The Glenlivet Code to hit store shelves later this year.
