The Macallan Launches Distil Your World Paris
The Macallan has launched Distil Your World Paris, the latest in a series of limited edition single malt Scotch whiskies exploring leading locations around the globe.
Crafted by The Macallan Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell in collaboration with the Roca brothers, owners of El Celler de Can Roca, twice named Best Restaurant in the World, Distil Your World Paris is “a love letter to the elegance, sophistication and gastronomic artistry of the French capital.”
Distil Your World Paris was created from American and European sherry seasoned oak casks, ex-bourbon casks, and Cognac casks that were married and bottled at 47.2% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “almond croissants, rose, sweet nectarines, sandalwood, and vanilla pods.” The palate exhibits flavors of “buttered pastry, brioche, peach melba, mille-feuille, and toasted oak.” It concludes with a finish of “gentle spices and warm oak.”
Distil Your World Paris is presented in a white box featuring a map tracing Kirsteen’s journey through the city, with key locations elevated in sculptural detail. The artwork inside, created in collaboration with Paris-based artist Cassandre Montoriol, reflects the vibrant energy and timeless charm of Paris. Her gouache illustrations depict a lively table d’hôte scene on a quintessential Parisian street, bathed in the warm glow of evening lights.
The Macallan Distil Your World Paris is available now directly from The Macallan and through select retailers for a suggested retail price of $4,750.
