Penelope Bourbon Launches Barrel Strength 7 Year Old

Penelope Bourbon has announced the evolution of its Barrel Strength expression from a 4 year old bourbon to a 7 year old bourbon with the launch of Penelope Barrel Strength 7 Year.
Blended from four straight bourbon mash bills that have been aged for 7 years in new American oak barrels, Penelope Barrel Strength 7 Year has a derived mash bill of 70% corn, 23% rye, 5% malted barley, and 2% malted rye and is bottled non-chill filtered and uncut at 115.2 proof (57.6% ABV).
Penelope Barrel Strength 7 Year is described as having aromas of “pecans, dried apricot, and hints of vanilla,” flavors of “caramel, toffee, leather, and pecans with a hint of orange zest,” and a finish of “white pepper, cinnamon, and brown sugar with lingering caramel.”
Penelope Barrel Strength 7 Year is limited to 78,000 bottles and will be available in select markets starting this month for a suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750 mL bottle.
