Glenfiddich Launches Glenfiddich XS
Glenfiddich has announced the launch of Glenfiddich XS — a collection of three Single Malt Scotch Whiskies finished in distinctive sherry casks.
The Glenfiddich XS collection is made up of a 15 year old single malt finished in Oloroso sherry casks, an 18 year old single malt finished in Moscatel sherry casks, and a 21 year old single malt finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Glenfiddich XS Fifteen Year Old:
Matured in American and European oak casks, finished in Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at 42% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “Classic Glenfiddich green apple notes with warming cinnamon, toasted oak and light spice.” The palate is “vibrant and lively with a zesty fruitiness and a touch of citrus sherbet, evolving into a rich softened toffee, with long-lingering oak and subtle depth.” It concludes with a “refreshing” finish. Glenfiddich XS Eighteen Year Old:
Matured in American and European oak casks, finished in Moscatel sherry casks, and bottled at 42% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “deep sherry oak with notes of caramelised fruit, treacle toffee, raisin and dried apricot.” The palate exhibits a “velvety texture balancing indulgent sherry richness, oak tannin and a whisper of antique leather, lingering oak.” It concludes with a “balanced” finish. SRP: £88.
Glenfiddich XS Twenty One Year Old:
Matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks, finished in Pedro Ximénez casks, and bottled at 42% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “raw cane sugar, muscovado syrup, and sun-dried dates and figs.” The palate exhibits “deep, full-bodied layers of complex oak, woody spice, and dried fruits, long-lasting with a refined dryness.” It concludes with an “intense” finish. Glenfiddich XS will be available from The Glenfiddich Distillery Shop, select retailers, bars, and restaurants across China, and in The Distiller’s Library boutiques across Asia from November 2025.
