The Dalmore Unveils 2025 Distillery Select Series
The Dalmore has unveiled three new bottlings as part of it’s 2025 Distillery Select Series.
Launched in 2014, the series showcases new dimensions to The Dalmore’s signature house style of chocolate, orange and subtle spice.
The Dalmore Distillery Select Series 2025: Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish:
Distilled in 2012, This 13 year old single malt was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then finished for two years in Cabernet Sauvignon barriques from a Médoc wine-growing estate. Limited to 1,002 bottles and presented at 51.3% ABV, it’s described as having aromas of “warm citrus fruits, black toffee, sugared almonds, and ginger spice.” The palate exhibits notes of “poached peach with whispers of balsamic, chocolate mocha, and soft liquorice.” It finishes with notes of “tropical fruits and exotic spices, elevated by classic rich berry fruits, and lingering antique soft wood spice. ” RRP: £350.
The Dalmore Distillery Select Series 2025: Loire Valley Wine Cask Finish:
Distilled in 2007, This 17 year old single malt was finished for more than three years in sweet wine barriques sourced from Bouvet Ladubay in France’s Loire Valley. Limited to 252 bottles and presented at 46.8% ABV, it’s described as having aromas of “damson plums, old English marmalade, and Madagascan vanilla.” The palate exhibits notes of “poaching spices and Demerara sugar, orchard and citrus fruits.” It finishes with “Tahitian vanilla, luscious caramel, and soft baking spices.” RRP: £1,000.
The Dalmore Distillery Select Series 2025: Colheita Tawny Port Cask Finish:
Distilled in 1997, this 28 year old single malt was initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then finished for four years in 1997 vintage Colheita casks from Graham’s Port. Limited to 49 bottles and presented at 48.2% ABV, it’s described as having aromas of “exotic fruit, and nuances of damson plums.” The palate is “like smooth velvet, with roasted pineapple, and raspberry coulis, with notes of coffee beans, and Seville orange.” It finishes with notes of “star fruit, liqurice, dark cacao, and rounded allspice.” RRP: £5,500.
Each of the whiskies in The Dalmore Distillery Select Series is presented of natural color and non-chill filtered. The 2025 collection is available exclusively via The Dalmore website for those in the UK, and at The Dalmore Boutiques in Spain, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
