Templeton Unveils 13 Year Old Rye Whiskey
Templeton Distillery has unveiled Templeton 13 Year Old Rye Whiskey, the first release from its limited edition Hidden Stash collection.
Templeton 13 Year Old Rye was crafted from sourced barrels of straight rye whiskey that had been maturing in Templeton, Iowa for over a decade. The spirit was distilled from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and matured in new American oak barrels with a heavy char. Templeton 13 Year Old Rye is bottled non-chill filtered at 108 proof (54% ABV) and presented in a premium bottle and gift box.
Templeton 13 Year Old Rye is described as having aromas of “sweet and spicy rye that are lifted by candied orange zest.” The palate exhibits “a warming burst of sweet chipotle pepper that gradually softens, revealing layers of citrus and spice.” The finish “lingers gracefully, evolving from honey to caramel, concluding with indulgent dark chocolate notes.”
Templeton 13 Year Old Rye Whiskey is now available at select retailers for a suggested retail price of $169.99.
