Glen Moray Launches Tequila Cask Finished Whiskies as Part of Warehouse 1 Collection
Glen Moray has launched two limited edition expressions finished in Tequila casks as part of its Warehouse 1 Collection.
Glen Moray Tequila Cask Finish was crafted from unpeated spirit aged for eight years in Bourbon casks and finished in Tequila barrels. It’s bottled non-chill filtered at a cask strength of 55.2% ABV and limited to 474 bottles. Glen Moray Tequila Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “vanilla custard, scattered with currants and toasted almonds.” The palate exhibits notes of “earthy tones, overlaid with freshly picked thyme and a subtle citrus note.” It finishes with “intense spice gently fading into notes of aged leather and polished oak.”
Glen Moray Peated Tequila Cask Finished was crafted from lightly peated spirit aged for eight years in Bourbon casks and finished in Tequila barrels. It’s bottled non-chill filtered at a cask strength of 58.5% ABV and limited to 474 bottles. Glen Moray Peated Tequila Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “rose petals, dark chocolate, and smoked thyme.” The palate exhibits notes of “ripe roasted bananas studded with hazelnuts.” The finish is “long and sweet with a lasting impression of burning embers.”
Glen Moray Tequila Cask Finish (RRP £85) and Glen Moray Peated Tequila Cask Finish (RRP £95) are presented in 70 cL bottles and are now available at select UK retailers.
