The GlenAllachie Distillery Launches Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2025 Edition
The GlenAllachie Distillery has unveiled the 2025 Edition of Meikle Tòir The Turbo.
Meikle Tòir, which means ‘big pursuit’, represents Master Distiller Billy Walker and his team’s seasonal peated campaign at The GlenAllachie, which began in 2018. Using mainland peat from St. Fergus, the peated production runs for around six weeks per year, producing approximately 100,000 liters of alcohol annually.
Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2025 Edition is a marriage of virgin oak casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads. The 2025 Edition carries a five year age statement and is presented without added coloring and is non-chill filtered and bottled at 50% ABV. The phenolic content of the spirit at the point of bottling was 72 PPM (Parts Per Million).
Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2025 Edition is described as exhibiting “aromas of manuka honey, toasted caramel, and smoked cedarwood, leading to flavors of heather honey, roasted hazelnuts, mocha, and smouldering oak, with a lingering finish of dark chocolate and plum jam.”
Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2025 Edition is available now from The GlenAllachie Distillery and online shop and will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks. It carries a UK RRP of £55.99.
