Glen Moray Debuts Maple Syrup Finished Whiskies at Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

Glen Moray has debuted two limited edition expressions finished in Canadian maple syrup casks at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2025.
Glen Moray Peated Maple Cask Finish Spirit Drink was crafted from peated spirit aged in American oak casks and finished in a barrel which once held Canadian maple syrup. It’s bottled non-chill filtered at a cask strength of 59.1% ABV and limited to 234 bottles. Glen Moray Peated Maple Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “bacon, maple syrup, caramel sauce, and roasted peanuts.” The palate exhibits notes of “bacon, spice, and charred oak drizzled with sweet peat smoke.” It finishes with “sweet smoke fading to subtly sweet maple syrup and toasted oak.”
Glen Moray Maple Cask Finish Spirit Drink was crafted from unpeated spirit aged in American oak casks and finished in a barrel which once held Canadian maple syrup. It’s bottled non-chill filtered at a cask strength of 59% ABV and limited to 222 bottles. Glen Moray Maple Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “Maple Syrup, sweet sticky caramel, honey roasted nuts, vanilla ice cream and a gentle spice.” The palate exhibits notes of “Toffee, sweet oak, spice, cookie dough and vanilla.” It finishes with “Cookie dough fading to maple syrup and a tingle of wood tannin.”
Glen Moray’s Peated Maple Cask and Unpeated Maple Cask will be available at Glen Moray Distillery during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival from April 30-May 5 for £90 each, and will continue to be sold at the distillery while supplies last.
