Compass Box Unveils Flaming Heart: 25th Anniversary Edition
Compass Box has announced Flaming Heart: 25th Anniversary Edition, the eighth release in its limited edition Blended Malt Scotch Whisky series.
Whereas previous editions of Flaming Heart have featured a proportion of unpeated whiskies aged in bourbon or sherry casks, the eighth edition of relies on an ensemble of exclusively peated whiskies and those extra-matured in custom French oak barrels.

Compass Box Flaming Heart: 25th Anniversary Edition is bottled non chill-filtered and with no added color at 48.9% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “rich, oily smoke supported by vibrant spice and subtle hints of raspberry and apricot, with tarry rope and maritime undertones.” The palate exhibits notes of “clove, pink and black pepper, nutmeg, bright fruit, and medicinal peat.” The finish is “long and smoky, with ashy wood, menthol, and citrus oils.”
Limited to 9,384 bottles worldwide, Compass Box Flaming Heart: 25th Anniversary Edition is available now for a suggested retail price of $165 for a 700 mL bottle.
