Blue Note Launches Second Annual Special Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Blue Note Bourbon has announced the launch of its second annual Special Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
The second annual release of Blue Note Special Reserve is a blend of 10 casks from Kentucky and Tennessee – cognac, madeira, sherry, port, triple sec, madeira, apricot brandy, amontillado, vanilla cognac, and vino de Naranja – ranging in age from 4-19 years with varying mashbills. Blue Note Special Reserve is presented unfiltered and bottled at 116.3 proof (58.15% ABV).

Blue Note Special Reserve is described as having aromas of “bright fruit, cherry, peach, leather, oak, and vanilla.” The palate is “creamy and light, with oak, vanilla, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and citrus.” It finishes with “light warmth with a chewy, slightly dry texture that lingers.”
Blue Note Special Reserve is limited to approximately 2,000 bottles and is available for purchase at bluenotebourbon.com and in 20 U.S. states for a suggested retail price of $225 for a 750 mL bottle.
