Wheel Horse Whiskey Launches Double Oak 5 Year Old Bourbon
Wheel Horse Whiskey has announced the launch of Wheel Horse Double Oak 5 Year Old Bourbon.
Wheel Horse Double Oak 5 Year Old Bourbon was distilled at the Green River Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky and aged for over four years in its original charred oak casks, before being transferred to new charred oak barrels to finish aging. Wheel Horse Double Oak Bourbon is bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV) and non-chill filtered.
Wheel Horse Double Oak 5 Year Old Bourbon is described as having aromas of “chocolate-dipped toffee and pound cake.” On the palate, “demerara sugar and vanilla custard appear before revealing notes of dried cherries and cocoa.” The finish “lingers, offering hints of chocolate cake and pipe tobacco, with brown sugar aromas.”
Limited to just 2,100 bottles, Wheel Horse Double Oak 5 Year Old Bourbon is available at retail locations in select markets and online at wheelhorsewhiskey.com. It carries a suggested retail price of $34.99.
