The GlenAllachie Distillery has launched a limited edition single malt to mark Lunar New Year 2025: The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Year of the Snake.

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Year of the Snake was matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks from Spain, as well as toasted and charred virgin oak barrels, and is bottled without artificial coloring or chill filtration and presented at 48% ABV.

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Year of the Snake is described as having aromas of “orange peel, rich chocolate and caramelised ginger, with bursts of honeysuckle, buttercream and brandied dark cherries.” The palate exhibits flavors of “butterscotch, grilled honeycomb and brandy snaps, followed by blood orange, poached pears and cinnamon butter, with crystalised ginger and chocolate gâteau.”

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Year of the Snake is presented in a bespoke carton featuring a hand-drawn illustration with gold foil and embossed detail. A collectable, 3D gold-colored snake charm sits around the neck of the bottle, whilst the packaging’s green color corresponds to the wood element specific to this new year.

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Year of the Snake carries a suggested retail price of £77 and will be available in Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, and Hong Kong. A small quantity of bottles will be available at The GlenAllachie Distillery and online shop in January.
