The GlenAllachie Launches 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish
The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced the launch of its Master of Wood series, debuting with The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish.
The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish marries whisky matured in Mizunara oak barrels with spirit from Oloroso Sherry puncheons and hogsheads, and is bottled without artificial coloring or chill filtration and presented at 50% ABV.
The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “heather honey, dried orange peel, crystalised ginger, cocoa, toasted tobacco leaves, and fresh vanilla pods.” The palate exhibits flavors of “baking spices, dried blood orange, and grilled honeycomb, followed by bursts of rich cocoa, poached cinnamon apples, and fig syrup, with pecans and demerara sugar.”
The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is available now for a suggested retail price of £260.99.
