The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced the launch of The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old, the old single malt Scotch whisky released by the distillery to date.

The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old was matured in six casks – three Pedro Ximénez, one Oloroso, and two virgin oak – distilled in the summer of 1989 and handpicked by Master Distiller Billy Walker for this release. The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old is bottled non-chill filtered and with no added coloring at 48% ABV, and is presented in a handmade solid oak box and elegant wide-shouldered decanter.

The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old is described as having aromas of “mocha, cinnamon, heather honey, and pineapple, with hints of raisins, pomegranate, and eucalyptus.” The palate exhibits flavors of “dark chocolate, mocha, raisins, and dried fruit, fusing with heather honey, treacle, and pineapple, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.”

The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old is available now at a suggested retail price of £1,479.
