BHAKTA Spirits Launches BHAKTA 1928
BHAKTA Spirits has announced the launch of its new flagship spirit — BHAKTA 1928, a blend of straight rye whiskey, XO Calvados, and ultra-aged Armagnac.
Named in honor of the oldest vintage contained in each bottle, BHAKTA 1928 is created from a base of 2018 vintage American straight rye whiskey (60%) blended with XO Calvados (30%) and Armagnac from the 1928, 1941, 1962, 1973, and 1996 vintages (10%). The composition then undergoes a double cask finish in virgin French oak. The spirit’s average age registers at 15 years old, with 30% of the blend over 30 years old and 5% over 50 years old.
BHAKTA 1928 is described as “golden orange” in color, with aromas of “custard, caramel, and vanilla.” The palate exhibits notes of “oak, vanilla, and spice,” concluding with “lingering oak and mellow tannins” on the finish.
BHAKTA 1928 has a suggested retail price of $69 and is now available at retailers in select states and through bhaktaspirits.com.
