Copper & Cask Unveils Small Batch Series
Copper & Cask Spirits has launched its new Small Batch Series, a line of limited edition cask strength whiskeys crafted by marrying a handpicked selection of stand-out single barrels.
The first release in the Copper & Cask Small Batch Series, Batch No. 001: 8 Year Old Bourbon, is crafted from 13 barrels that were distilled in Indiana and aged for eight years in Florida, before being bottled at 61.4% ABV.
Copper & Cask Small Batch Series Batch No. 001: 8 Year Old Bourbon is described as having aromas of “cherry and dates.” The palate exhibits “sweet, lively notes of candied grapefruit peel and crystallized honey before giving way to the richer flavors of chocolate ganache and butterscotch.” It concludes with a “robust” and “lingering” finish of “creme brulee and brown butter.”
Copper & Cask Small Batch Series Batch No. 001: 8 Year Old Bourbon is limited to 2,000 bottles and has a suggested retail price of $79.99. It will be available for purchase at retail in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island, and online at copperandcask.com.
Copper & Cask has two more Small Batch Series releases slated for this holiday season: an Armagnac-finished whiskey and a Bourbon finished in Toasted Oak and Rum barrels.
