GlenAllachie Releases 30 Year Old Batch 3

The GlenAllachie Distillers Company has announced the launch of The GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 3, the third installment of the oldest expression currently available in the brand’s core range.
The GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 3 marries Pedro Ximénez Sherry hogsheads, Oloroso Sherry hogsheads, and American virgin oak casks dating back to the early 1990s. All casks were handpicked by Master Distiller Billy Walker before being married and bottled non-chill filtered and with no added coloring at a cask strength of 48.9% ABV.
The GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 3 is described as having aromas of “roasted almonds, honey, and orchard fruits, with hints of worn leather and butterscotch, followed by orange zest and dark chocolate.” The palate exhibits notes of “grape must, hazelnut, and honeycomb, followed by citrus fruits, toffee brittle, and hints of ginger spice,” concluding with “cinnamon and mocha” on the finish.
The GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 3 is limited to 2,400 bottles worldwide and is available now at a suggested retail price of £670.
