Laphroaig Launches Càirdeas White Port & Madeira
Laphroaig has announced the launch of it’s annual Càirdeas (Gaelic for “Friendship”) limited edition single malt Scotch whisky, Laphroaig Càirdeas White Port & Madeira.
Three quarters of the whisky was matured in second-fill Madeira casks and the final quarter was finished in first-fill Port casks, the majority of which were white port.
Bottled at 52.3% ABV, Laphroaig Càirdeas White Port & Madeira is described as having aromas of “cinnamon, ground ginger, and charred orange,” with notes of “hazelnut and dark chocolate” on the palate and a “peaty and salty” finish.
Laphroaig Càirdeas White Port & Madeira is now available at a suggested retail price of $99 for a 700 mL bottle.
