Glenfiddich Distillery Launches Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1987

Glenfiddich Distillery has announced the launch of Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1987. The Archive Collection is an annual release comprising rare family casks “which unlock a moment from the distillery’s warehouses in Dufftown to share some of the finest whiskies created.”
Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1987 is a Christmas Day centenary cask that was laid down on December 25, 1987 by the Grant family to celebrate the distillery’s first centenary milestone. It was filled into a refill American oak hogshead and left to mature for 35 years before being bottled at 53.7% ABV.
Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1987 is described as exhibiting notes of “ripe pear, Granny Smith apples, delicate spun sugar, crisp fruit salad, and slow poached pears, a perfect balance of fresh, sticky, and spiced.”
Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1987 is limited to just 75 bottles and will be available for pre-order exclusively at the Distillery Boutique in Dufftown beginning on April 29th for a recommend retail price of £3,700.
