Teeling Whiskey Launches Blackpitts Cask Strength
Teeling Whiskey has announced the launch of Blackpitts Cask Strength, a double distilled, heavily peated single malt Irish whiskey matured exclusively in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Bottled NCF (Non Chill-Filtered) at 56.5% ABV, Teeling Blackpitts Cask Strength is described as having aromas of “distinct bonfire smokey earthiness with underlying hints of orchard fruit and maple syrup”, with notes of “charred apple and pear fruit interwoven with vibrant peat smoke, salt, and lavender” on the palate, concluding with “dry wood spice fading to a long smokey, savory finish.”
Teeling Blackpitts Cask Strength is limited to just 8,400 bottles and has a suggested retail price of €75.00 for a 70 cL bottle. Blackpitts Cask Strength will be available in Ireland at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin 8, The Celtic Whiskey Shop, James Fox, and Irish retailers, and at select international retailers over the next few months.
