Fettercairn Launches Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003
The Fettercairn Distillery has announced the launch of Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003, the third release in its limited edition Warehouse Collection. The series was created to celebrate “the hidden gems within its 14 dunnage warehouses and to showcase its commitment to enlightened whisky making.”
Distilled in 2015, Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003 is a marriage of ex-Bourbon barrels (57%), rum barrels (16%), and French red wine barriques (27%) matured in Warehouse 2, bottled non-chill filtered and of natural color at 50.6% ABV.
Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003 is described as having aromas of “warm honey, Alphonso mango, brioche, cocoa, subtle forest fruits, and waves of rose water,” with notes of “passion fruit, papaya, red berries, grape must, sugared almonds, patisserie spice, and heather honey” on the palate.
Limited to only 9,600 bottles and carrying a suggested retail price of £60, Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003 will be available in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France this month, and in select Asian markets beginning in May.
