Benriach Releases Four Single Malts Exclusively for Travel Retail
Benriach has announced the release of four expressions exclusive for Global Travel Retail: Benriach Quarter Cask, Benriach Smoky Quarter Cask, Benriach Triple Distilled Ten, and their oldest triple distilled expression to date, Benriach 22 Year Old Triple Distilled.
Benriach Quarter Cask is an unpeated, NAS (No Age Statement) single malt matured in Bourbon casks, finished in Quarter Casks, and bottled at 46% ABV. It’s described as having a natural cask-imparted “burnished gold” color, aromas of “candied fruit, rich vanilla, and fresh oak,” notes of “sugared pear and honeyed apricot” on the palate, and “fresh barley cream and oak spice” on the finish. UK RRP: £36.
Benriach Smoky Quarter Cask is a moderately peated, NAS (No Age Statement) single malt matured in Bourbon casks, finished in Quarter Casks, and bottled at 46% ABV. It’s described as having a natural cask-imparted “olive gold” color, aromas of “woodsmoke, pear, and freshly kilned malt,” notes of “smoked nectarine, peppered malt, and creamy vanilla” on the palate, and “mellow smoke and nutty oak” on the finish. Benriach Benriach 22 Year old Triple Distilled is an unpeated, triple distilled single malt matured for 22 years in Sherry, Bourbon, and Virgin Oak casks and bottled at 46.8% ABV. It’s described as having a natural cask-imparted “dark copper” color, aromas of “crystallized orange peel, chocolate, sultana, red apple, spiced apricot, and mellow nutty oak,” and notes of “smooth caramel mocha and morello cherry with hazelnut, chocolate, and medjool date” on the palate. Benriach Triple Distilled Ten is an unpeated, triple distilled single malt matured for 10 years in Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez And Virgin Oak casks and bottled at 43% ABV. It’s described as having a natural cask-imparted “copper gold” color, aromas of “candied orange, creamy vanilla, and vibrant spiced oak,” notes of “apricot, apple peel, toasted almond, and mocha cream” on the palate, and “fruit and oak” on the finish. Benriach Quarter Cask, Benriach Smoky Quarter Cask, Benriach Triple Distilled Ten, and Benriach 22 Year Old Triple Distilled are now available exclusively in UK airports, with a Global Travel Retail release to follow on May 1st, 2022.
