Castle & Key Announces Restoration Rye 2021 Batch 2 & 3

Castle & Key Distillery has announced the release of the next two batches in its Restoration Rye 2021 series. Restoration Rye debuted last year and was the first whiskey release from the distillery since its founding in 2014.
Restoration Rye 2021 Batch #2 features a mash bill of 63% rye, 20% malted barley, and 17% yellow corn and was created from a blend of 75 barrels, yielding 18,648 bottles at 52% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “mint, apple pie, nutmeg, and orange peel”, with notes of “brown sugar, baking spice, clove, and fig” on the palate, finishing “sweet with heavy spice.”
Restoration Rye 2021 Batch #3 features a mash bill of 63% rye, 20% malted barley, and 17% yellow corn and was created from a blend of 70 barrels, yielding 16,830 bottles at 52.5% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “lemon peel, apricot, toast, and floral notes”, with “honey, lemon, allspice, and stone fruit” on the palate, finishing “juicy and fruity” with notes of “white pepper.”
Castle & Key Restoration Rye 2021 Batch 2 & 3 will be available beginning next month in the states of AZ, CT, CO, GA, IL, IN, KY, NJ, NY, SC, TN, TX, and WA at a suggested retail price of $42.99 each.
