Highland Park Launches 15 Year Old Viking Heart
Highland Park has announced the launch of 15 Year Old Viking Heart, a new addition to their core range that’s composed of whiskies matured predominantly in sherry seasoned European oak casks, sherry seasoned American oak casks, and a few refill casks.
Highland Park Viking Heart is described as having aromas of “crème brûlée, heather honey, and crumbled cinnamon,” followed by notes of “fresh pineapple and sun-kissed lemon balanced with warm vanilla notes of freshly-baked sponge cake and toasted cinnamon shards” on the palate. The “lingering” finish is “full of citrus, vanilla notes, and aromatic peat smoke.”
Viking Heart is bottled at 44% ABV in a lead-free, porcelain decanter – created in partnership with Wade Ceramics – that is 100% food safe, glazed inside and out, and embossed with the same lion and serpent design that appears on many of Highland Park’s glass bottles.
Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart is now available from Highland Park’s online shop, distillery, and Kirkwall Store, and will be rolling out to retailers globally over the coming months. It carries a suggested retail price of £80 (~$110).
